Schedule a skin check through the Laborers Health & Wellness Clinics

Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United States. But it’s very treatable when caught and treated early. That’s why we recommend that you check your skin from head to toe once a month. Just look for the ABCDEs:

  • A – Asymmetry: When growths, moles or brown spots are not symmetrical, it can be a sign of cancer.
  • B – Borders: Look for rough, jagged edges or borders that move over time.
  • C – Color: Normal moles are often a light or dark brown color. If a mole is multicolored, it could be cause for concern.
  • D – Diameter: A growth, mole or brown spot larger than one millimeter can be a sign of melanoma.
  • E – Evolving: If something on your skin changes size or color over time, make an appointment with your dermatologist.

If you find any moles or spots you’re worried about, schedule an appointment for a skin check at a Laborers Health & Wellness Clinic. We’ll take a look and provide a referral to a dermatologist if needed.
